The World Bank Centre for Financial Reporting Reform (CFRR), in partnership with the Accounting Faculty of the Academy of Economic Studies from Moldova (ASEM), have organized an international conference on "Sustainable development in accounting and auditing profession: applying the best practices in upgrading university curricula through cooperation and partnership with European Union member-states".

"The Conference focused on an approach based on solutions aimed at the improvement of the university education and continuous professional development in the field of accounting and audit based on modern standards and tools," pointed out Andrei Busuioc, Senior Financial Management Specialist, CFRR, World Bank. "The cooperation between the universities from the Republic of Moldova and Romania in this regard can serve as a useful model of approaching the challenges related to the development of the curricula in the field of corporate financial reporting."
