The General Ordinary Meeting of ACAP RM Members was conducted on 30 June 2012, being attended by 160 Members with voting rights.

 

The Meeting was started by Mr. Veaceslav Ciobanu, President of ACAP RM, with a welcoming message.

 

The following documents were presented at the General Meeting: Report on Profession Development during 2011 (Mr. Veaceslav Ciobanu, President of ACAP RM); Association Economic and Financial Activity Report in the course of 2011 (Mrs. Marina Selaru, Executive Director of ACAP RM), and the ACAP RM Internal Audit Commission Statement (Mrs. Mariana Lungu, Chairperson of the ACAP RM Internal Audit Commission).

 

The aforementioned reports and statement are available on ACAP RM website: www.acap.md.

 

During the discussions, the ACAP RM Members were presented with comments and proposals by: Ion Prisacaru, Ludmila Grabarovschi, Maria Gancearuc, Galina Miron, and Victor Axiuc.

 

The 2012 Annual General Meeting of ACAP RM Members was an important event due to the elections held for the ACAP RM Board of Directors and for the Internal Audit Commission. The elections were successfully conducted thanks to the presence of the majority of the ACAP RM Members with voting rights. Following the elections, the ACAP RM Board of Directors was supplemented with Mrs. Ludmila Gavriliuc, Mrs. Georgeta Covaliov-Rusu and Mr. Viorel Dandara, while Mrs. Antonina Schendrea was elected to the Internal Audit Commission.

 

The Annual General Meeting approved the Association Activity Report for 2011, the Association Economic and Financial Activity Statement for 2011 and the 2012 Budget Plan.

 

The official Certificate-handing Ceremony was conducted at the end of the Meeting: CIPA –Nicolai Comarschi, Elena Mardari and Vera Baciu; CAP – Ecaterina Navrotcaia and Ecaterina Rotaru.

 

Also, Mrs. Marina Selaru, on behalf of ACAP RM Board of Directors, handed the Appreciation Diploma to Mr. Veaceslav Ciobanu, President of ACAP RM during 2006-2012, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to ACAP development and to Accounting and Audit Profession fostering in the Republic of Moldova. Mr. Veaceslav Ciobanu expressed his sincere gratitude to ACAP RM Members for the fruitful collaboration in the course of his mandate as President of ACAP, and thanked the participants for the appreciations, wishing them success and outstanding achievements.

 

After the break the ACAP RM Members took part to a Seminar covering the following subjects: ”IFRS: recent and prospect developments” presented by Corniciuc Vitalie, Audit Assistant Manager, KPMG Moldova LLC, and “Remuneration of Finance and Accounting Experts: Outcomes of an Annual Study” presented by Galina Mereuta, AXA Management Consulting.
