Dear Colleagues,
Last week, the IFAC SMP Committee released the third edition of the Guide to Quality Control for Small- and Medium-Sized Practices (QC Guide).
We%26rsquo;d like to hear from you! Later this year, IFAC will release a companion guide that will help IFAC member bodies (and their members) make the best use of the guide. Member bodies are encouraged to adapt and/or translate the guide (in accordance with IFAC policies and procedures) to suit their local/national jurisdiction%26rsquo;s requirements, best practices, custom/culture, and language. The companion guide will include information about how to adapt the guide, including the sample manuals, and ideas for using the guide as a basis for education and training. Let us know how your organization has translated, distributed, or otherwise made the QC Guide available to your members (this or previous editions). We will consider your feedback as we develop the companion guide, which will also cover use of the Guide to Using ISAs in the Audits of SMEs (ISA Guide).
For Translators A number of IFAC member bodies have translations agreements in place for the 2nd edition of the QC Guide. A Word version that shows changes between the 2nd and 3rd editions will be completed soon and available upon request. If you are interested in translating the guide, please see our Policy Statements and contact permissions@ifac.org.
As always, thank you for your feedback and support. We look forward to hearing from you!
All the best,
Paul Harrison
